What to Expect at Santa Margarita Community Church

When you arrive on Sunday morning, know that we offer two worship service times with education hours and children’s ministry during both and a coffee fellowship time in between.

Services are held in the Santa Margarita Community Hall. Sunday School, nursery and Children's Church are held in our church building. Please note: During the 9 a.m. service, all children begin their classes in the church building. During the 10:45 service, all children above nursery level stay in the Community Hall for congregational worship. After worship, children 5th grade and under are dismissed for Children's Church.

More about our children's ministry.

  • We are a multi-generational congregation because the wisdom of God passes between generations. That means we keep families together, help families grow together and help parents raise children who will follow Jesus as adults.
  • 9:00 Sunday School students study the the Heidelberg Catechism, a 500 year old method of teaching the Christian faith, in a fun, friendly, and age appropriate way. Parents are taught and guided to engage their children in reviewing the lesson during the week so that they come to a knowledgeable and mature faith as they grow into believing adults. https://www.ccel.org/creeds/heidelberg-cat.htm
  • Children's Church (10:45) follows a curriculum called, "Generations of Grace" which will take children through the Bible twice between K and 5th grade. http://generationsofgrace.squarespace.com
  • Parents sign in their children and can leave a cell phone number in case their child needs them.
