The Good Kind of Division
John 7:40-52
In this passage, there are three different scenes of division and Jesus is at the center of it all. The words that Jesus has spoken require everyone to line up on one side or the other. There is no neutrality. The truth will always divide those who believe it from those who do not.
The real schism is between you and God. Jesus bridges the gap by his righteous life and sacrificial death. He is the son of Abraham who kept the law of Moses and now rules heaven and earth as the heir of David’s throne. Come to him and believe.
