John 5:1-18

By healing a man who was unable to go to the temple because of his deformity, Jesus reveals both this man's idols and the idols of the religious leaders. They - and we - all count our own works before God but the only works that save us are the works that were done for us by Jesus. Because of His works, we can find rest for our souls.
