Why do we sing?
Series: From Glory to Glory: A Vision for Musical Maturity   |   Caleb Campbell

Why do we sing?
1. Our created end: worship.
2. Singing is an act of gratitude for God’s deliverance.
3. More generally, the proper response to all his mighty works: praise and declaration of what he has done.
4. Worship is warfare.
5. Singing perhaps most often associated with joy, but psalms also provide a fitting and proper way to express other emotions in an edifying manner.
6. The Lord rejoices over us in singing.
7. We are commanded to sing.
