A Mature Church Body

In our passage, the Apostle prays for a church that he hasn't met. He knows that they have all kinds of trouble that he is going to need to correct...
But he starts with giving thanks to God for the good things he sees in them. The city is in ruins and heresy is threatening the church. But he can see fruit and gives thanks. Maturity can see fruit when it is young.
