God has given Elders to the church for the ministry of word and ordinances. That is, God has called qualified men to serve the church by leading and they lead by means of the Word of God and the ordinances commanded for the gathered church.

When Elders focus on this equipping, it allows all of the church to flourish both when we gather and when we scatter.
