A Wholly Life
Romans 12:1-2

When the Apostle wants us to change, he appeals to our understanding of God's mercy. God’s mercy changes us; God’s mercy defines us; God’s mercy empowers us and God’s mercy motivates us to a new kind of living. Now, calling it mercy clarifies that we have neither earned it nor that we can do anything to pay God back for it. Mercy has made us alive and now we are truly alive.
The point here is that our lives become lives of worship by way of the mind, internal transformation leads to outward renewal and that renewal is of the whole life.
