Since we are clearly unable to be righteous or to make ourselves righteous before God, we need God to save us from ourselves, our sin and the consequences for our sin. We need God to save us from justice. Paul tells us that Jesus is our justice, our justifier and our justification. Jesus does our part and Jesus does God's part.
