We have been entrusted with managing God's household where we live. Leaders are entrusted to instruct and all of us are entrusted to learn and to embody God's Gospel. He describes this as a fight, not a fight with people, but a fight to continue in believing, to live that belief and to pass it on faithfully. The fruit of that will be love..do you trust that He can produce that in you and in us?

Christmas 2011

Advent is the choir rehearsal for the the celebration of Christmas. It is the 4 week battle again the darkness of unbelief by singing the songs of sacred joy. Like Jehoshaphat's army we approach the battle lines with song. Then we sing joy into each other’s hearts. Some of us sing in alto, some tenor and others out of tune. But when we all sing in in our choir bathrobes, around the tree at home that Christmas morning, the harmonious sounds of “good news” penetrate our real world once again: “Joy to the World!”

Summer Series for 2010 & 2011.

How Firm a Foundation: Focusing on the specific historic beliefs about Jesus Christ, our Lord

Our true faith is what unites us as one family in common love for Jesus. Whether the truths our one true faith come to us for the first time or the fiftieth, they are not instinctive, but must be taught...and taught again. This summer let's celebrate together our firm foundation in a series of sermons that are, in essence, songs of praise to God for all that He is and all that He does.

“Christianity is not instinctive to anyone, nor is it picked up casually without effort. It is a faith that has to be learned, and therefore taught, and so some sort of systematic instruction is an essential part of a church's life.” JI Packer, Growing in Christ.

This summer we continue our catechism teaching by drawing from the Heidelberg Catechism.  There will be 10 questions and answers taught over the summer to the children as well as the adults.  These questions and answers will continue to build on our foundational knowledge of Christ and the Father's love for us.
